We were approached by Andrews Design & Marketing, the creative agency representing T&D — specialists in electric motorcycle powertrains — to deliver a standout exhibition stand for Motorcycle Live at the NEC Birmingham.
The client had previously explored a T3 modular solution with another contractor but was seeking a comparative quote — feeling that a local, certified T3 distributor may be able to provide a more cost-effective, turnkey exhibition stand hire solution.
We proposed elevating the stand with an overhead gantry fitted with high-output LED lighting — instantly defining the space from above. Beneath this, we planned bold lightbox walls on all faces of the central structure to create an immersive core visible from every angle. The surrounding floor was to be segmented with carpet inlays and featured a custom-cut T&D logo for clear visual zoning across the 94.5m² footprint. Each of the five electric motorcycle models was set to be paired with a dedicated freestanding LED lightbox — combining physical product displays with vibrant illuminated graphics, positioned around the island perimeter to maximise engagement at Motorcycle Live.
As a brand exhibiting across multiple global events, T&D needed a stress-free, cost-efficient solution for their UK showcase. Choosing a modular stand hire at the NEC meant no long-distance shipping, no storage headaches, and a faster, smoother installation — all without compromising on visual impact.
The reusable structure also supported their sustainability goals, reducing waste from single-use builds while delivering the professional presence needed for one of the UK’s biggest consumer shows.
Despite a last-minute change to the product line-up — with several bikes delayed due to shipping from Milan — the finished stand made a bold impression at Motorcycle Live.
With adaptable planning and quick thinking, we restructured the space to retain flow and visual balance. The illuminated lightbox displays and elevated central structure gave the stand strong vertical presence, while the custom welcome counter, branded flooring, and feature LED gantry delivered real stopping power.
Even with just one hero bike on display, the messaging and product visuals packed a punch — turning what could’ve been a setback into a sleek, professional brand showcase at one of the UK’s most high-profile venues.
