We blended modular efficiency with bespoke craftsmanship to bring Barking Bakery’s playful identity to life. From custom-built wooden arches with integrated spotlights to vibrant pink shelving and a glowing illuminated logo, this hybrid exhibition stand delivered impact, personality, and precision in equal measure.
Barking Bakery approached us after seeing our Buddycare build at major UK pet shows throughout 2024. They loved the reusability of our modular systems, the bold use of seamless graphics, and the playful integration of custom product displays — all tailored to reflect the brand’s identity. Their goal was to achieve something similar: a vibrant, on-brand stand that retained modular flexibility while incorporating bespoke elements like kennel-style arches and recessed shelving.
Previously, their stands had been capped at 2.4m and relied on foamex panel graphics, which lacked visual impact and often left framework exposed. For this 6m x 3m backwall and L-shape layout, they wanted to go further — boosting height, creating a seamless visual canvas, and elevating their retail-style displays with custom woodworking. This included integrated product shelving units, sprayed in Barking Bakery’s exact signature pink, for a flawless branded finish. The brief was clear: bring the Barking Bakery personality to life, with a hybrid approach that felt both professional and delightfully playful.
Previous setups had lower impact due to limited height and basic shelving structures, often with visible framework and misaligned Foamex panels. Our design aimed to eliminate these distractions, replacing them with seamless graphics and integrated, colour-matched shelving for a polished retail feel.
We consulted closely with Barking Bakery to elevate both form and function — combining modular engineering with handcrafted features that brought their joyful brand to life.
1. Kennel-Inspired Entrance Arches
We designed and built custom archway features, inspired by kennel silhouettes, to frame the entrance of the stand. These included mounted Barking Bakery roundel signs and spotlighting for added character and visibility.
2. Custom Colour-Matched Shelving Units
To showcase products effectively, we built recessed shelving into the backwall with hidden fixings and no visible supports. The entire unit was sprayed in Barking Bakery’s signature pink and illuminated with COB LEDs beneath each shelf to spotlight the dog treats on display.
3. Increased Structural Height
By extending the stand height beyond neighbouring shell schemes, we ensured greater visibility and presence across the exhibition hall. At PATS 2025, a new 3m high side return wall was added, supporting the kennel-style arches and creating a layered architectural effect.
4. Floating Illuminated Signage
We designed a custom fret-cut illuminated logo sign, positioned to float partially above the stand walls. This gave the Barking Bakery brand line-of-sight presence from wider aisles and across the venue.
5. Interactive Pick ‘n’ Mix Display
A branded freestanding display unit (FSDU) housed pet treat dispensers for samples. The playful design supported their product sampling goals while reinforcing brand identity through printed headers and vinyl‑wrapped panels.
6. Vibrant Artificial Grass Flooring
To round off the experience, we supplied vibrant pink artificial grass flooring — tying in perfectly with the cheerful, colourful theme and ensuring the stand felt distinctly “Barking Bakery”.
The final stand delivered everything Barking Bakery hoped for — and more. Bold, playful and unmistakably on-brand, the combination of modular structure and custom features gave them a standout presence at PATS 2025. A perfect example of how modular efficiency can meet bespoke craftsmanship — and how a well-executed stand can turn heads (and wag tails).
