Book & Zvook approached us with a unique creative challenge: to transform their 3m x 3.5m space at the Audio Village (stand 3A30) into a stand that looked and felt like a working recording studio.
The concept needed to combine a broadcast-style setup with space for meetings, while showcasing their audiobook platform in a way that reflected their digital-first approach.

While they had explored an initial design elsewhere, the creative didn’t fully capture the immersive, functional studio feel they envisioned — prompting them to seek a more elevated and brand-aligned solution (concept image shown right).
With the original brief focused on creating a studio-like setup, we saw an opportunity to elevate the concept beyond just aesthetics. Our approach centred on acoustic performance, functional layout, and immersive detailing — transforming the idea into a stand that not only looked the part, but sounded the part too.
To achieve this, we incorporated:
Soundproofed back walls and noise-reducing materials to allow for live recordings
Edge-lit flooring with a central illuminated zone to draw attention and ground the space
Custom LED floor trim seamlessly integrated into our Smart Modular Flooring system for added impact and brand visibility
Decorative acoustic wood panels – doubling as structural features and functional mounts for tablets and headphone hooks
Fully integrated AV and lighting to support studio-level clarity and ambience
Hired furniture package including a custom bookshelf, lockable storage and soft seating — all selected to align with the studio aesthetic and maximise comfort within a compact footprint
This hybrid build blended modular practicality with bespoke fabrication, meeting both technical requirements and visual ambition — something the client later shared was not fully realised in the cheaper alternative they were originally offered.
The final design made a bold statement at the London Book Fair — a hybrid exhibition stand that fused modular flexibility with fully custom fabrication, delivering both function and flair. From the soundproofed recording setup to the illuminated flooring and striking wood panel features, the space embodied Book & Zvook’s brand values in a way no off-the-shelf solution could.
As one of the most talked-about installations in the Audio Village, the stand became a dynamic hub for interaction, recording and conversation. For brands exhibiting in London, this project proves how a custom exhibition stand — even one designed for single-use — can still be delivered sustainably when you combine reconfigurable structures with tailored detailing.
