We helped SPP Flexible Packaging showcase their product range at PPMA with a reconfigurable shell scheme stand — reused across two shows, upgraded with seamless graphics, LED lighting and custom product displays.
When SPP Flexible Packaging first approached us ahead of the UK Food Show at the NEC Birmingham, their goal was simple — to achieve a clean, seamless look inside a standard shell scheme stand. They asked us to explain how our system works and to provide an all‑inclusive solution covering design, installation and dismantle.
We introduced them to our modular framework, which clamps directly to the shell scheme to create high‑resolution, tension‑fabric graphics with a slim 60 mm profile. This method delivers 100% wall coverage with virtually zero footprint — instantly elevating a standard shell scheme into a polished, professional space.
For the UK Food Show (Show 1), we began with a 3D render of a 4m x 3m L-shape shell scheme setup, using our modular framework to create seamless tension fabric graphics across two open sides. The design was clean, minimal, and focused entirely on visual clarity — paired with slimline LED arm lighting to enhance visibility.
When SPP confirmed they’d be re-exhibiting later in the year at PPMA, we proposed a reconfiguration that would reuse their existing graphics, while adapting the structure for a 4.5m x 3m footprint. For this show, they also needed to mount physical product units (including Fortix, Optilam and Flopaper) onto the back wall.
To meet this need, we supplied custom framework beams and integrated back panels engineered to support bespoke floating product shelves with roller mechanisms. As the client planned to self-install, we carefully labelled and packaged the system for simple reassembly — ensuring the flexibility of modular meets the functionality of custom.
The final delivery showcased how even modest shell scheme spaces can be completely transformed through bold, brand-led design and smart modular thinking. For both shows, we delivered high-resolution seamless graphics mounted via our proprietary 60mm framework — covering every inch of the shell scheme to eliminate visual clutter.
At the PPMA Show, the client needed to integrate physical product displays — including a spindle roller mechanism — which we solved with a bespoke floating shelf system mounted directly to reinforced beam panels. This level of customisation demonstrates how our modular solution can flex to suit different events without compromising finish or functionality.
