Explore how we delivered a 10m x 5m modular exhibition stand for Hubtex at UK Metals Expo 2025 — combining a towering 4m-high presence with integrated LED lightboxes, built-in storage, AV integration, and full forklift presentation. A bold, industrial showcase designed for maximum impact with reusable modular architecture.
Beach Marketing approached us to support Hubtex at UK Metals Expo 2025, held at the NEC Birmingham, with a 10m x 5m exhibition stand. The brief was to reference a previous stand used by their sister company Dimos at a German trade show — featuring bold branding, forklift product displays, and a strong structural presence.
While the original concept leaned heavily on an industrial aesthetic, built around exposed trusswork and block graphics, the challenge was to reinterpret that same sense of scale and authority into a cleaner, more refined environment
Rather than replicate the industrial, truss-heavy concept used previously in Germany, we reimagined the stand with a cleaner, more refined architectural approach.
The primary structure was designed to span the full 10m width at a commanding 4m height, with integrated LED lightboxes forming the main branding surface.
Given the height of the forklifts (MaxX and Flux), we proposed a rigged hanging structure suspended from the NEC ceiling to maintain strong aerial visibility. This included internal and external graphics, alongside directional lighting to highlight the machinery below.
The layout incorporated a central storage room (approx. 2.9m wide), positioned behind the main wall with secure keypad access. To support engagement, we specified a 65” 4K screen for content delivery, alongside a furniture layout including a welcome counter, poseur tables, and bar stools.
As part of the process, we developed a full 3D concept and walkthrough render — enabling Beach Marketing to clearly visualise the scale, flow, and overall intent of the stand prior to build.
Built and delivered at the NEC Birmingham, the stand was realised as an all-inclusive exhibition stand hire package — incorporating modular framework, backlit LED lighting, seamless printed graphics, furniture, AV, and integrated lockable storage.
The final build delivered both scale and clarity — rising to 4 metres high with crisp, illuminated branding across both flanks. The central storage block formed a strong architectural core, with backlit lightboxes providing a branded backdrop to the forklifts and enhancing their presence.
Although the proposed hanging structure was not pursued due to NEC rigging costs, the stand retained a strong presence across the hall. The elevated structure, combined with integrated AV content, naturally drew attention and footfall from multiple directions.
Two forklifts — the Flux and MaxX — were positioned at either end of the space, cleanly framed within the layout. Soft furnishings and a 65” screen created a comfortable, functional environment for conversations and product engagement.
